There are a few things I recomend to looking for while researching.

  1. Make sure the school is acrededed.
  2. It should be a member of the ACDE ( accisicuatuib of commercial diving educators)
  3. You are going to be living in this location make sure it is a location you can deal with.

If the underwelding tech. school is not acrededitd it is going to be hard to get student loans. Don't sweat it there are quit of underwater welding schools to choose from. Here is a list of some of them.Underwater welding (underwater arc welding) is a process used to join to peices of metal together with a type of filler metal. Under water welding is very similar to topside welding with the exception of a few saftey percausions that are instrimintal for a safe work enviroment. Normally these schools last 2 to 6 months long however I know there is one in Santa Barbra that has a 2 year program. I went to the Divers Academy in Camden, NJ. The 2 to 6 month programs are generall require at least 25 hours a week .
